Chemicals and Reagents Supplier (5)

This section lists manufacturers of chemicals and reagents for laboratories and bioprocessing: analytical reagents and solvents, chromatography columns and sample preparation products, culture media, reagents for molecular biology and materials for biopharmaceutical production. Xingdaotai Limited acts as a chemicals and reagents supplier for these ranges and sources them together with lab instruments when needed.

Chemicals are ordered by catalog number, grade and pack size. Many of them are dangerous goods or need cold-chain transport, so the shipping method is agreed per product, using the safety data sheet. Tell us how often you reorder: for regular consumption we plan the batches so that shelf life is not wasted.

Questions and answers

How do I order laboratory chemicals and reagents?

Send a list with the manufacturer's catalog numbers, or the substance name with CAS number, the grade and the pack size. If you are switching from another manufacturer, include the product you use now and we look for the equivalent grade. We confirm availability, shelf life and the transport conditions for each item before sending terms.

How are hazardous and temperature-sensitive reagents shipped?

Each product is checked against its safety data sheet. Flammable, corrosive or toxic chemicals travel under dangerous goods rules with the right packaging and documents, which can limit the transport mode. Enzymes, antibodies and some media need cold-chain shipping with dry ice or cooling packs. We agree the route and packaging per order and tell you in advance if a product cannot travel with the rest.

What is the difference between analytical grade and HPLC grade solvents?

The specification. Analytical grade solvents meet purity limits for general lab work and wet chemistry. HPLC grade solvents are additionally tested for UV absorbance, residue after evaporation and particles, because those show up as baseline noise and ghost peaks in chromatography. For LC-MS there is a stricter LC-MS grade with low metal ion and background levels.

Which reagent grade should I choose for my method?

Take the grade the method specifies, and do not go lower. Pharmacopoeia and standard methods usually name the required quality. Going higher than needed costs money without improving results, except in trace analysis and LC-MS, where background matters. If the method is your own, run a blank with the candidate grade before buying in volume.
