Whatman (Cytiva)

Whatman is a brand of Cytiva, and the Whatman laboratory equipment range is filtration: papers, membranes and devices used to clarify, collect or retain particles in everyday lab work. The name began with fine writing paper and turned to laboratory filtration during the First World War, when filter papers were needed for steel production. Today the filters are used in food, pharmaceutical, air and water testing. Whatman also supplies membranes and pads for lateral flow diagnostic tests, a line with a long history of its own.
