Automation, Sensors and Controls Supplier (7)

This section collects the automation, sensors and controls that a machine builder or a maintenance team orders most often: position and presence sensors, linear and rotary encoders, pressure and temperature instruments, hydraulic and pneumatic valves, RFID, IO-Link components and the control electronics that ties them together. Xingdaotai Limited works as a supplier for these parts, from a single sensor to the full list for a new machine.

Sensors and valves are ordered by code. The full type designation from the label usually defines the housing, range, output and connector, so a photo of the label saves a round of questions. When a part is discontinued, we look for the successor or a compatible equivalent that fits the same bracket, cable and signal.

Questions and answers

How do I find a replacement for a discontinued sensor?

Send the full type code and a photo of the label and the installation. We check the manufacturer's successor list first. If there is no direct successor, we look for an equivalent with the same housing, sensing distance or range, output type and connector, so the bracket and wiring stay unchanged. Any difference in parameters is listed before you confirm the order.

How do you order hydraulic and pneumatic valves?

By the complete ordering code from the nameplate or catalog. For hydraulic valves that code carries the size, spool or function, voltage, connector and electronics options; a partial code is a common reason for wrong deliveries. If the nameplate is unreadable, the circuit diagram and the mounting pattern help us reconstruct it. Seal kits and coils can be ordered with the valve.

What is IO-Link and why is it used?

IO-Link is a standardized point-to-point connection between a sensor or actuator and an IO-Link master, using a normal unshielded three-wire cable. Besides the switching or measuring signal, it carries parameters and diagnostics. That lets the controller set up a replaced sensor automatically and report contamination or faults before the machine stops. The master then passes the data on to the fieldbus.

Which pressure instrument should I choose: gauge, switch or transmitter?

It depends on who reads the value. A pressure gauge is for the operator on site and needs no power. A pressure switch gives the controller a single on-off signal at a set point. A pressure transmitter sends a continuous analog or digital signal for control and logging. Many systems combine them, for example a gauge for local reading and a transmitter for the PLC.
