hyperMILL

hyperMILL is the CAD/CAM software of OPEN MIND Technologies AG, a German developer. It is modular: a shop buys the strategies it needs, from 2.5D drilling and milling to 3D, 5-axis and mill-turn programming, and runs them on a CAD platform written for CAM programmers. hyperMILL can also run inside SOLIDWORKS and Autodesk Inventor.

Simulation sits close to the toolpath. The VIRTUAL Machining modules check G-code against a digital model of the machine and optimize the motion before the program reaches the shop floor. OPEN MIND also supplies the postprocessors, which matters on complex 5-axis kinematics.
