Formlabs

Formlabs is a 3D printer manufacturer headquartered in Somerville, Massachusetts. Formlabs equipment is built around two technologies: SLA resin printing and SLS powder printing. The printers come with the company's own materials, the PreForm print preparation software and wash, cure and powder handling units, so a shop can run the whole process from one vendor.

Engineering, manufacturing, dental and medical users are the main audience. Typical jobs are rapid prototypes, jigs and fixtures, end-use parts, injection mold inserts and casting patterns. Dental and medical versions of the SLA printers carry their own B designations.
